As a Boricua who lived in Cali for 7 years, I came to have a great fondness for my Chicano / Mexican brothers, sisters and culture. Through them, I learned much, including the long history of violent anti-Mexican racism in the West. Thus, what we see in recent events in El Paso, was just the latest episode of the long tradition of white supremacy expressing itself in the west.
